Welcome to the Vassar-Chadwick Chess Club, the best (and only) active USCF<\/a> affiliate in Dutchess county<\/a>, located in the Town of Poughkeepsie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club is open to everyone (not just students, and not just residents of Dutchess county) and there are no membership dues. All of our tournaments\u00a0are nationally rated by the United States Chess Federation (USCF)\u00a0and therefore require USCF memberships (unless explicitly stated otherwise).\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We meet most Monday nights<\/a>, sometimes run tournaments on weekends, and have been known to feature special events<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our premier event, the Dutchess County Chess Championship<\/a>, takes place in the Fall, and has attracted some of the strongest players in the Mid-Hudson valley. Starting in 2017, we have added a second premier event, the Vassar-Chadwick Club Championship, which occurs in the Spring.<\/p>\n

Are you interested in chess?\u00a0Come and join us\u00a0Monday nights at 7PM with most tournaments starting at 7:30PM.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club meets in rooms 101 and 104 <\/a>of Rockefeller Hall<\/a> on Vassar College Campus. Google map<\/a> for Rockefeller Hall, Vassar College.<\/p>\n

Coldenham Chess Club – Newburgh

Hyde Park Chess Club – Hyde Park<\/strong>
\nMeets Tuesdays from 5:00-7:30 PM in the Hyde Park Library at 2 Main St. Players of every level are welcome. Sets and clocks are provided by the club.<\/p>\n

Pleasant Valley Chess Club – Pleasant Valley<\/strong>
