Four dedicated souls attended the July 18th Equalized Match Pairing tournament at Marist. Roger Pedersen (Black) held Leo Freyvert to a draw, while George Oliveras (White) took down young up and comer, Trevor Brooks.

A fifth player, name withheld, also showed up, but had a lapsed USCF membership. This provided the perfect opportunity for the TD (who really didn’t want to play a rated game) to keep occupied with an informal game while the real matches were in session.
